Opinion Writing

Sex education has always been something I was passionate about.

I was raised by an ER nurse and started looking through anatomy books at age 5. So I was completely baffled when I received an inadequate sexual health education at both my small, private middle school, and through the virtual program offered through the public school district.

Despite extensive discussion with the school board, a silent protest and continual disruptions caused by invasive AI monitoring technology, Gaggle is still overseeing documents for most students in our school district.

While I can see the threat that this system presents to our constitutional rights, not everyone does.

After Gaggle interfered with my open records request about Gaggle itself, I want to finally get the rest of the student body on the same page.

Adjusting their armbands, seniors Adelaide Sivits and Rose Allgeier wear armbands in support of student journalists protesting the use of Gaggle.
